Seeing that RE4 was released for the cube only and then having been ported to the Wii, with Wii remote mechanics being developed. Plus The fact that is was so succesful from a critical stand point . Do you think RE5 deserves a place on the WII?.

The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.
RE5 and the Wii
Yeah, RE5 should be on the Wii!
The reason why RE4 came out for both the PS2 and Gamecube was because they didn't have such a large gap in between what the machines could do technically. Now the gap is bigger than ever when comparing what the 360/PS3 to Wii can do. They're releasing a remake of Dead Rising on Wii, but they won't be able to fit as many Zombies on screen, taking away the camera, and I'm sure the visuals will not be as sharp. The wii is more powerful than the Gamecube, but the current gen consoles are many times more powerful than their predecessors. This is why if RE5 did come out on Wii, it really would have a lot taken away from it.
"I'm sure Capcom, is anything of their games not ported?"Great question, let me think... Hm... I'm coming up with a big "no."
If Dead Rising is coming to the Wii, I won't find it hard to believe Capcom making a Wii version of RE5. What makes RE5 set apart from RE4 is the graphics though... The game mechanics look the same to me in 5.
I really enjoyed RE 4 on the Wii and think it was the best out of all the releases.
And since Capcom is giving the Wii crazy port support, I could see it on the Wii maybe a year or two after it launces for PS3 and 360.
"DarkLegend said:Dead Rising was greatly lowered in content and graphics for the Wii.I don't think Capcom will bother taking so much out again for the Wii.There is no point to doing that at all.I think they only put Dead Rising on the Wii because you would be able to interact with the weapons with the Wiimote."I'm sure Capcom, is anything of their games not ported?"Great question, let me think... It is possible because the two Resident Evil games released for the Wii did quite well. Especially when you consider the fact that many RE fans skipped Umbrella Chronicles. However, as a poster above said, I wouldn`t hold my breath.
It wouldnt be the same game. Face it the wii is way too under powered. All the textures and polygons would have to be dumbed down as well as the lighting and shaders. It would be a lot of work. I dont think Dead rising was the same caliber of development that the RE5 serries has.
"Seeing that RE4 Wii had awesome controls I really want ti too. But will it? I don't think so."Yeah, I'd love to see it on the Wii as well, and I'd probably buy both the 360 or PS3 version and the Wii version if they did it. I really liked what motion controls added to RE4. There were moments I couldn't shoot straight because my hand was shaking so damn bad, and the game's control scheme was simple enough to still work just fine on the Wii.

However, I'd be willing to accept worse graphics (as long as we're still talking RE4 quality, mind you) as long as actual gameplay - number of enemies on-screen, etc. - was the same.

"super_machine said:Its still hard to say if Capcom would really devote the resources needed. They may rational that its too expensive to gut the game so it works on wii when people could buy an xbox 360 or PS3 if they really had to play it. My guess is they wont, and would rather spend the money developing a RE title exclusive to the wii."It wouldnt be the same game. Face it the wii is way too under powered. "I hope it does come for th Wii, even with lowered graphics I'd buy itSame here. If it came to Wii, I wouldn't think twice about which system to get it for.

Remember everyone, we may not get RE5, we do get Spyborgs, and I'm not kidding that that's a fair trade. A new IP with acclaimed developers beats a (mostly) rehashed action game with bad dialogue.

Capcom has been doing great with the Wii.
