The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.

    RUMOR: The Conduit 2 coming.

I absolutely made sure to make time to visit with our friends at High Voltage Software at this year's GDC.
[...] what caught my eye was that in the demo room there was a poster on the back wall.  And on the poster, in a Conduit-esque font, was a giant 2.  No date, no title, just the 2.

So my first instinct was to ask the designer giving the demo, "is that your subtle way of teasing the next Conduit game?"  To which he laughed and said, "There's more to come on that!"  I asked to take a picture, but was told politely that I could not.  No one was willing to confirm that this was indeed a tease for The Conduit 2 when asked, but the sly grins said a mouthful.

    Source.

I don't really see it since The Conduit didn't sell well.. at all. But with HVS going completely crazy and thinking that redesigning their games for Teen ratings will solve all their problems, who knows whats going on with these people.

The only way anyone's going to be interested is if the game's completely overhauled, similar to the progression from Red Steel to its "sequel". The Conduit sold way more than it deserved, and in interviews HVS said they and SEGA were pleased with the reception. For a (shitty) new IP, it did ok. The Conduit was Teen.

I am sure they will take a lesson from Ubisoft (RS2), but yeah, won't be interested until I see it.

The Sega Threesome, MadWorld, HOTD: Overkill and The Conduit were promised to come to Japan only if they sold decent in the US. Last year came Overkill, last month, MadWorld (in a pretty decent launch handled by Spike, not by Sega), but still we never saw the light of day for Conduit.

It will be frustrating not to play this game's first installment.

Yeah, with the way the story ended, it has to have a sequel. It also needs a complete overhaul. It had a good engine and everything, and was definitely impressive. But the story was flat, and the multiplayer wasn't all that good.

More like almost impossible expectations, mediocre results, then another sequel.

I doubt it. Considering what happened to The Grinder, if they can't keep their next game afloat, how can they make a third one after that?

I actually kinda liked The Conduit (at the very least, it had some jammin' tunes), and the story is pretty much asking to be continued. If they made a sequel and improved on the original significantly - Make it more cinematic like Call of Duty. I know some people might not like it but I'd love a sci-fi game in a very cinematic matter such as CoD4 - I'd be down with it.

I actually just sold my copy of The Conduit so that I could get Metro 2033.

I have no regrets. It was a terrible game. I have very low hopes for the sequel.

Is this the part where I say that so many people were using The Conduit as some flagship thing for the Wii to appeal to "core" gamers...and that now, many of those same people are bitching about The Conduit 2?

Also...you are talking about the same developer THAT MADE A LEISURE SUIT LARRY GAME!

..........FFS, folks...when do I get to say "CALLED IT!"?
