If Nintendo does decide to make games for there own WiiWare service, then what would you like to see? I think that we can all agree that we would love to see the New Super Mario Bros sequel be available on there. Or even a new 2d Mario game. It would be perfect, they could use interactive 3d enviroments in a 2d way, just like the New Super Mario Bros game for the DS.

WiiWare 1st Party games
"Is Dr. Mario Online Rx not a 1st Party WiiWare title?

Ya it is, I think, but Im talking about a 2D side scroller Mario game.

Heck, maybe we will see a new Zelda similar to "A Link to the Past" on WiiWare at some stage?

"kid9bit said:Ya I agree. That would be awesome. If Nintendo doesnt ever release another 2D sidescroller on WiiWare while the Wii is around, then I'll be very disapointed."Maybe a new top-down Zelda game like Link to the Past? I really want a new Punch Out!Top down Zelda and Punch Out would be awesome. Perhaps Nintendo takes a cue from Capcom and Mega Man 9 and releases an old school Mario that is extremely challenging.

An old school Zelda would be amazing.
For third party, I'd want to see Sonic the Hedgehog 4. That would be great!
My take on the subject. Ideas, trains, and all...
- WiiWare was created for, and is used mainly by "small"(-er) companies. Companies not yet ready to make a CD-bound game. (the exception being ones testing the idea given below)
- Nintendo is not a small company.
- This doesn't mean that they won't release any WiiWare titles..
But I think that if Nintendo does produce something available through the download...
- It will be something new.
- A new idea.
- A new title.
- Their ultimate objective is money. Making money.
- They know that Mario and the gang sells.
- They know it makes money.
- So they will continue with that.
- If they make a game that involves their gang, they'll most likely make it a full game.
Only if it is a new idea...
- ...one that is debatable...
- ...one that they don't want to spend lots of money producing, only to find it doesn't sell well...
- ...one that takes a completely different path than any company has ever succeeded with...
...will they release it through the way that is WiiWare.
No time to summarize; if you have lasted to read a post thing long, you should be able to understand it.
"I'd love to see another 2-D Metroid game.Yeah! I replayed Castlevania: Symphony of the Night recently and all the time I was thinking about how awesome it would be to have a new Metroid game on a home console with detailed 2D graphics and perhaps some nice 3D particle effects. I think there is a way of mixing both old and new technologies to make some very good retro-modern games.
