Take control of an F-117A Stealth Fighter and take on missions across various war zones in this Sega Genesis flight simulator from EA.
F-117 Night Storm is an arcade-style flight simulator that was released exclusively on the Sega Genesis (and Mega Drive in PAL and JP territories). Set during contemporary conflict zones, such as the 1989 Panama invasion (Operation Just Cause) and the Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm) in 1991, and featuring some rarely simulated aspects at the time, such as laser targeting and night vision modes, F-117 Night Storm was considered a fairly realistic flight simulator at its release in 1993, especially for a console game.
Players can select their own weapon loadouts before missions based on the type of resistance they anticipate encountering; due to the secrecy around the titular stealth bomber at the time, EA was forced to take liberties with regards to what type of weapons it could use. For instance, the actual F-117 did not carry air-to-air weaponry as they were strictly employed against ground targets.
