Which one? The Raven remake, the (not actually) 3-D one, or the Return one?

Probably the one that this forum is for.

Yeah, but sometimes people just haphazardly post to the forums. And sometimes I'm too tired and uncaring to pay attention.

Was this on Steam at some point? If so, why did it stop being available?

It was on Steam at some point, I bought it on Steam myself a couple years ago. I didn't know it was taken off though, that's odd. It was better than most people gave it credit for I think, Raven and id usually have some really good gunplay. My main complaint about it was they have you running around the main city killing guards over and over to go to each mission, why not just show a cutscene and do a loading screen into the next mission?

You can still get it for pretty cheap on eBay if you want to go with a physical copy.

Yes, the 2009 version it was on steam, maybe it has something to do with distribution rights.

A user has posted this on the steam forums, but I can't find the source for it:

According to the recent QuakeCon announcement, Wolfenstein should return to steam along with Quake Wars before Quakecon 2013 in August. These titles were pulled because Activision is no longer the publisher. Bethesda/id purchased the rights to these and is now the publisher.

I just remembered this game and checked if it was on steam and was disappointed. Bethesda should be able to put this out now right?

I have been looking for a legal way to buy this game since I've enjoyed Raven games. Frustrated that it's not available anywhere.

It's probably like the old Fallouts where they have to do the work to go into the games and pull out any logos or references to the original publishers. So there's a bit of delay while they do that.

Hope it does return soon. It's a great game, and I wouldn't mind double dipping for the PC version.

I'm confused? Do you mean this? Or are you talking about the rights of the 2d ones before iD Software by Apogee which are now with Duke Nukem is having problem with the rights holders?

There was one released after the games in that package, a game simply titled Wolfenstein, which was developed by Raven and published by ActiVision in 2009.

The Id ones are probably available since Bethesda owns both the studio and the IP, while Wolfenstein 2009 is unavailable because Raven is owned by Activision, but the IP is owned by Bethesda.
