World Games was developed in 1986 by Epyx for a wide range of systems including the Commodore 64, Apple II, and the Sega Master System. The NES version was ported by Rare Ltd and published by Milton Bradley Co.
World Games was part of Epyx's extremely successful sports line which included such titles as Summer Games I and II, and Winter Games.
The Commodore 64 version of the game was made available on the Nintendo Wii Shop on the 25th of April 2008.
Not all events were available in any given version of the game. The events varied from platform to platform for example the Apple II version does not contain the same events as the Commodore 64 version.
