The best version of the best Puzzle game in years!

World of Goo is an innovative and charming Puzzle game, where almost every single level is exhilarating.

The controls may be simple but are also tight and responsive enough, and the physics-based gameplay is far from shallow. Although sometimes it's not easy to select the goo ball you want. The only significant control improvement I think the game needed, particularly when you want to build a tall and/or large structure, was the possibility to move the camera with the joystick on the Nunchuk.

To beat all the story levels will take you around 5-7 hours and most of them have an unusually great replay value for a game of this genre. There is also a bonus level, where you can try to build the tallest tower of goo in the world, which alone will consume you many hours. All of this for the low price of 15$ (5$ less than the PC version).

The audio-visual presentation is very well done, particularly the sound design, with great art design, good color choices and a fantastic combination of cute sound effects and an epic flavored pop/jazz soundtrack, which will stay in your head long after you stop playing it.

The Wii version allows you to add up to 3 extra cursors, where each one is controlled by a different remote and all with ability to interact with the goo balls. But only the remote number 1 can interact with the edges of the screen to move the camera. One person can play with two remotes simultaneously, one in each hand, which can be useful in certain situations, making the Wii version a little bit deeper and more replayable single-player experience than the PC version.

It also opens the possibility for up to 3 friends to join you in a potentially entertaining multi-player experience, or at the very least makes it easier for you to teach other gamers how to play the game or to convince some non-gamers to try it. The 2 player experience, each one with only one remote, can be more fun than playing alone in some levels, especially the one in which you can try to build the tallest tower of goo in the world, if both learn to coordinate their actions. Add all that that to the previously mentioned lower price tag on the Wii version and it's crystal clear that, if you have a Wii, this is the best choice.

If you like Puzzle games or are looking for games that are different from anything on the market, than World of Goo is must buy. One of the best and most addictive 2D games ever made.

    NOTE:
I only have 2 Wii remotes for now, that's why I didn't expressed my opinion about how much fun is the multi-player experience with 3 or 4 players, or with just 2 players using 3 or 4 remotes.

A perfect mix of wackiness with brilliance and fun with challenge 0

WiiWare is a platform that hasn't had a whole lot of great games yet. Sure, there have been some decent titles available for download, but in all honesty most of the games available were thoroughly mediocre, and even the good ones weren't necessarily groundbreaking. At the time, WiiWare almost appeared to be something just tacked on the Wii Shop Channel for the sake of having original games available through the Internet like PS3 and Xbox 360 have… but then a wacky little puzzle game called Worl...

The Sticky Bastard Child of Braid, Portal and Crayon Physics 0

It's amazing what a little talent and a lot of hard work will get you. Looking at the general quality-to-budget and time-to-staff ratios of games in general and specifically games on Wii it would be easy to assume that the days of the lone coder producing anything of value or interest are far gone. Even first-party titles by the often heralded Nintendo today all too often show low production values (Wii Play), rehashed and tired gameplay and graphics (Mario Kart Wii, Animal Crossing: City F...
