About the music, it wasn't something I choose at random but an element that I consider to be just as important as the models, lighting, animations,...etc. It was the driving force for the pace and the inspiration for the story. With the feedback I've gotten consider your voices heard and it'll be something I take into account in the future. I still think I made the right decision and it's not something I'm going to go back and change so lets agree that we disagree. :)

A Visual Reminder That MMO Animation Kind Of Sucks

You start that video, turn the volume all the way down so it's muted, and then you pause it at 15 seconds. Now turn on that YouTube video below it, don't watch it - it's just for audio, and immediately press play on that paused MMO video and it makes it way better.

wtf the music to that vid was totally pointless, why not just use ambient sounds instead of music. :O
very cool, i think blizzard should hire this guy seeing as how this video made me a person who hates mmos want to play one
LOVED the video, but the music was so tiring that I turned it off less than 1 minute in. I was perplexed.. But, then I realized something.
Most "directors" use temp tracks when filming and editing to portray the energy in a video. I think this video suffers from the director choosing the music based on the music that motivated them while making the video, or was inspired by the video for the music. Either way, I would simply suggest getting someone else to do the music, the audience has replied. That sound is terrible.
On the plus side, this is probably the best machima (sp) that I have seen since the Master Chief / Samus battle, if not better. Great job
I sometimes feel like I'm the only person who roots for the common guards in situations like this :P
And that music better not be stuck in my head or I'm going to have to call Oliver Sacks.
Now that I've watched it, the animation wasn't bad. But if the song had that much inspiration on the final outcome, I cannot help but wonder how much more brutal it would have been if set to something from Necrophagist. Also, somebody buy this dude endorphin, stat!
EDIT: Namie Amuro? No wonder! He's one of those absurd japanophiles.
God damn that song was HORRIBLE. Pretty cool video though. Maybe with the exception of the eye scars.
I'll admit, if it had those animations, id enjoy it even more, but i enjoy it enough anyway.
The video also reminded me how much i still love WoW's music, as opposed to, yeah...actually that song didn't bug me.
I think it's funny how many people are trying to protect that lady. Because if you played WoW and saw people do the Jailbreak escort in Stormwind, then you know that's Onyxia. That belf would've done the whole world a favor.
It would be pretty badass if WoW actually played like that though. Reminds me a bit of Devil May Cry.

I know this song! Lol, it's sort of J-pop-ish. The song is called Hide & Seek by Namie Amuro. I like this song, but as far as in context of the video, I agree that it didn't match it.
I really need to find a way to rip the WoW models etc to Blender, I have been wanting to do something like this for ages. Plus I could add sexy lighting and maybe even bump up the poly count.
I gotta say i actually completly love the music and totaly see the fit. You can see that he made the video around that beat.
