WWE 2K15 will still arrive on October 28 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but 2K is giving Yukes and Visual Concepts a few more weeks for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions. The new date is November 18.

November 18 is getting pretty packed, too. Dragon Age: Inquisition, Far Cry 4, LittleBigPlanet 3, and the current-gen versions of Grand Theft Auto V are scheduled for the same day.

Time to schedule some vacation.

Looks like they some more time to fully realize how to physically represent all of John Cena's hustle, loyalty, and respect.

The respect part will be post-launch, on-disc DLC.

This series needs 2-3 years to ditch Yukes, rebuild itself from the ground up, then resume the dumb annual releases for another 15 years.

Not surprising. If I recall correctly I thought 2K said (months and months ago) they were thinking about releasing WWE 2k15 in early 2015 instead of their normal end of October slot. I am curious what they desperately need to fix and can fix in those three weeks. Don't get me wrong, I love that the game will be released with less bugs and more polish.

@forteexe21: We do, it's just none of it has been officially released by 2K. But there's certainly footage out there from the Gamescon build. (It looks surprisingly good, actually.)

I am encouraged that Visual Concepts is assisting Yuke's in development; I have hope that the gameplay and animations are more polished.

From what I've seen in videos taken at gaming conferences where the demo has been played, the graphics are staggeringly good and there are some cool pre-set animations, but annoying stuff like a punch to a character getting up sends them skewed horizontally in a weird, unnatural way still exists.

Hustle, Loyalty, Delays

I wonder if they're pushing it back so that they can properly update John's model after Brock Lesnar cripples him at Night of Champions on sunday.

Yada yada, what I care about is broken AI routines and CAW so that we can be sure whether VGCW can move to next-gen.

Called it. I thought they would delay it until early next year though. They should've taken a two year cycle.

@advocatefish: Yeah at some point I would just wish that all these "sport" franchises, if you can call wrestling a sport, would just take a two year break while they work on the current gen versions. But I know that will never happen.

It is too bad that they can't run a two-year cycle to get caught up, but release a WWE game in the process. Something like a WWE All-Stars 2 done by another developer during the off-year would change things up and give the developers of the main series time to construct a better engine.

Getting rid of Yuke's and having VC team with another developer to do these games wouldn't hurt, either.

Great, so now I'm getting Farcry, GTA and WWE all on the same day. I mean, the phrase first world problems comes to mind, but still, how the heck am I gunna manage that?

Well, GTA V is a pretty version of the same game that was out last year, WWE is essentially a prettier version of the same game as last year based on the videos I've seen, and Far Cry 4 is kinda-sorta new. At least you can prioritize, maybe?

2K cites wanting to entice people into buying the last-gen version because it's out earlier and then regretting it six months later and buying the current-gen version after seeing how much better it looks.

Also reallly hoping the PC version turns out to be true. They already do NBA and MLB 2K games on Steam, so it's not like they're against it.

I'm all for more polish. At this point I'd probably rather just get the game in January/February - fitting around Road to Wrestlemania hype would work fairly well and it'd get it out the way of the many other games coming out around then (not just on that particular day). I can't see that happening, though.

They also need time to develop the PC version, right? Please say yes.

It's just so hard to develop for a new platform when you don't have that Triple H hair to gauge performance on.

Looking at the recently released achievements, there looks to be a 2k Showcase mode and some kind of NXT mode featuring NXT wrestlers. I don't think they've talked about either of those modes yet or even shown gameplay. Kinda surprised its only a one month delay.

Is it weird that I'm more excited for Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville than damn near anyone else in this game? Fingers crossed for Tyler Breeze!

@chaser324: Nope, I feel the same way except for a few of the main roster guys. I am curious to see the new models for everyone though.

I wouldn't be surprised if they pushed this back to implement NBA 2k's facescan technology.
