E3 2011: X-Men: Destiny Trailer
So, is this a make your own X-Men game? I don't recognize the three highlighted characters in this trailer. I recognize Cyclops, Wolvering, Gambit, Mystique, Nightcrawler, etc... but the girl with the bandana, the guy in the football tee-shirt and the other one aren't familiar to me.
Yeah, that's was his old threads from the late 70's early 80's.lol. Cyclops' outfit looks like Kick Ass!

You won't be playing as any of the trademark X-Men, but there'll be mutant points and costumes that can earn and level up with which'll essentially make you a clone of many of the well known cast; similar to how DCU has the ability for you to have your own character, but can still be meshed to strongly resemble your favourite.
Kinda sucks why they don't just let you play as the actual X-Men, but it's justified with how the story progresses through your decisions and the morality choices to make associated with the Brotherhood and the X-Men.
I'm not usually one to complain about graphics, but jesus, this looks like a PS2/Xbox era game. Secondly, where is the character customisation? The concept of playing as your own custom X-man through a story-driven game is really compelling.. playing as a 12 year old goth or a football jock is not.
From a superficial glance, this seems to run into the same problem that DC Online did where you're forced to play side by side with the characters you'd rather be playing as. Hopefully there's something to this game.It also doesn't help that instead you get shoehorned into 3 different pre-generated mutants.
How easy was this game to get right? Why not make a robust Mutant creator for your PC?
Definitely not a pretty looking game. Also, can I just get the Wolverine game from years back with X-Men characters? Longer? I don't want to make my own guy. :(
I want to have a bloody good time and fight big giant bosses!
This trailer was either too early....or that's it. Pretty underwhelming for the awesome franchise that freaking X-Men is......
