Yeah, i can't decide which to buy..

Dead space seems like a solid game with fun gameplay.. however i didn't like condemned or FEAR... i did like prey. I don't like games with cheap scare tactics.. this seems to resemble bioshock in the slightest way, which i loved.

Saints row 2, i liked the first one, it was a lot of fun but i never really got into the story or anything, it was somewhat out of order (idk) and i didn't really like all the missions.

    What do you guys think?
    thanks for the input

Dead Space seems like a rental to me.  Saints Row was never my style, but it seems like that game has a little more replay value and longevity to it compared to Dead Space.

You bring up a good debate there. Would you rather have a game that lasts 30 hours but ends up alright, or a fantastic 8 hour game?

Well, if your in it for the long term id say saints row.
I dont know about you but you can only play a scary game soo many times before the scares are gone and your just breezing through shooting stuff for achievements. So i say go with saints row, even when your done with the main campaign you can just run around shotgunning people to your hearts content. If you liked the first one, more of the same isnt going to hurt.

But if you dont care about long term and just want a couple of cheap thrills go with dead space.
The creatures are scary on their own but you know 95% of the scares are all going to be the same "jump out of the dark room" scare like Doom 3. But its still going to be awesome dismembering said monsters. Plus if you liked RE4 you'll probably like this because it has the same over the shoulder camera.

Its a hard decisions considering they arn't even in the same genre.

poersonally iam getting dead space because i love Space and i love Horror, and when you combine them both its Reeses all over again.

If I had to pick one I'd go with Saints Row 2. It has been getting good scores and it's always looked like stupid fun. I just think it has much more lasting appeal than Dead Space, but what do I know...I'm likely going to buy both! :P

Dead Space looks really good to me, but because of the type of game it is you could definitely get your fun with it from just a rental, as with SR2 would take longer to complete, and there are alot of side missions.

I say Dead Space. I've played through RE4 about 80 bajillion times and people are basically saying Dead Space is like a better Resident Evil... and in space. So chances are I'm going to play it more than once.

Another thread idea thought up by you.

Both games don't really appeal to me, but I'd probably go with Dead Space.

Wait a sec...you're Yoda! Why not pick up Soul Calibur IV instead? If you loved RE4 then Dead Space is your game. If not, you can't go wrong with Saints Row 2.

This is why these threads are always pointless...everyone has their own specific opinion. Why ask someone to make up your opinion for you?

I would suggest Dead Space but that's because Saint's Row doesn't appeal to me either.  If you're talking length and content, I would imagine Saints Row 2 would give you more for your money.  Experience and immersion wise, it seems like you're going to get a whole lot out of Dead Space.  The scares may gone if you play through a couple of times, but it could be fun to play through with friends.

I think both are must buys, for me anyways, but if I should get one, and the other later, I woudl take Saints Row 2 without a doubt. I really liked the first one, and it seems like this one is even more about the pure fun factor.
Cant wait to get my hands on it.

Not to interested in the Saint's Row thing.... it strikes me as mindless fun while Dead Space looks more like, a masterpiece of the genre. Not sure about either yet, that's just the way it looks.

The Saint's Row, "anti GTA" style trailer really turned me off.

I just picked up Saints row 2 collector's edition and plan on getting Dead Space next week. I would say get Dead Space now, play it and you should be able to complete in in a week. Then buy saints row 2.
