Doom XBLA?
i had 400 points to waste so i bought it. its a fun waste of time, but it didnt hold my attention till the end of the game or anything
"Duke is better, at least IMO."Yes, Duke is awesome, I still have my DOOM for my old Mac.
For your 400 points you get a pretty solid game. I checked the other night and there was a few matches still being played. Probably people boosting the multiplayer achievements though.
"daniel_beck_90 said:I would not pay anything for that game , instead I'd purchase 2 gallons of gas :D"I would not pay $5 for such game"Then how much you pay for such game?"
If you were there when Doom came out then you'll get a kick out of the nostalgia, I can't see you getting into it so much if you're used to modern shooters.
I'm kind of curious to check out Doom as well, but I can't really justify it when I already own it on Xbox (Doom 3 Collector's Edition), not to mention all of the other iterations that I've bought or rebought (PC!) multiple times. Aside from achievements, what does the XBLA version offer?
XBLA Duke Nukem 3D is pretty fun so far, but given a choice, I'd take the Saturn and PC versions over it. At least it's not the N64 version all over again.
Thank god.
Its a decent purchase if you have five dollars burning a hole in your pocket. Its about the same price as Pac-Man and has some great splitscreen and online co-op options. If you mess around with it for a few play sessions off and on its worth it. The gameplay hasn't held up as well as you'd think and the title is available for free on just about every other platform imagineable.
Just make sure you have a few friends with the title first otherwise there isn't much value in it.
