Just wondering about how buying microsoft points cards work. Is it locked based on the console's region or the account's region? Also, how do you check your account's region? Thanks in advance.
I'm not an expert, but I think the idea of Microsoft Points was specifically to eliminate regional pricing; everything would cost the same number of points in every region, but different regions might charge different rates for the same number of points. So...I think all points are created equal.
However, they've moved away from Points and onto direct currencies. So Points cards are probably harder to find these days, and I don't know for how long they'll continue supporting them.
