What game should I buy? I already have Lost Odyssey, COD4, Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, and Mass Effect(just to name a few). I'm not interested in Too Human(even though it's not out yet). With that criteria, what game should I buy?
You may like Mercenaries 2, which is supposed to come out next week...and if you haven't played Dead Rising I would highly recommend you pick that up. Not to mention it's cheap now.

I wasn't too interested in Dead Rising when it was released. I thought Mercs 2 is being released in September.

I don't think he said he liked Fighting games, and shooters but I guess he would. the orange box is great even for people who don't like FPS's. Also Marvel Ultimate Alliance is awesome!

No the best game would be the Orange box is you haven't played half life best value but yah Marvel Ultimate Alliance is awesome!

Very good suggestion. Bioshock is also great in any collection. Even if you beaten it already it's still worth having around.
You're one of the few blu....honestly, Its not that Gears has a bad mp, its just a combination of all the little problems it has online, and glitches, getting pop ups telling you 'connection error' every 2 seconds, the constant bullet lag, and mostly the way the majority of people play the game, it makes people that don't even want to play that way have no choice in the matter except rolling around with a shotgun. Even Cliff Blezinski said he hates that the game has become that, and he hates people that do it..which is why hes made it much harder on people in Gears 2 to do.
and mainly Cod4 is just more versatile for online, way more modes to play, Gears 2, does look like its trying to fix a ton though, and will fucking be amazing. but Gears is great for Co-op if a friend has it, its tons of fun, but for just online mp Cod4 definitely has more options and at least isn't broken.

One of the few? Gears is still one one of the most played games online but i get what you're saying. Honestly, the glitches aren't really a big issue for me and I barely ever get connection errors but when I do it's usually because someone's quitting the game. Bullet lag is only an issue I face when a friend of mine hosts but it is annoying. Even with all these issues I'd still play Gears online over COD4.
Its not like you're telling it like it is while everyone else isn't..its just your opinion.
Did you say if you had Bad Company? that's a pretty fun game, just added a new mode recently to it as well(well classic bf mode)

Gears wasn't bad because of the players. They were just making due with what they had. I mean let's face it, when the game first came out the lancer was a pretty weak weapon so they had to turn to the shotgun. Eventually everyone got used to the shotgun and made it their primary weapon. I've also seen some gameplay vids of Gears 2 multiplayer and I think it's still possible to play the same way but it will be a little tougher.
I really hope it isn't possible to play that way. From what I've seen its mostly been stopped by, even if people try rolling at you with a shotgun..the stopping power of an assault rifle will push them back and keep them there. The main thing I think that is going to be abused in the second, is people sticking concussion grenades to walls..since they throw people on the ground when they detonate, they do that...then just walk up to them on the ground and shoots them point blank with the shotgun. I just hope it never gets that bad..it looks like they made so many strong improvements in the mp.

I really don't have a problem with people playing that way with the shotgun because it's useful when you're outnumbered. The new concussive force will stop those who are foolish enough to just rush in but skilled players could probably sneak around you and blast you.

Well I just checked the dates...and they say August 31st. So it could very likely end up coming out in September, but I have been hearing August as well.
Gears of War or Ninja Gaiden II. Though since your into JRPG's, I will also reccommend DMC4 because it had a JRPG feel and it is just fun as well as Tales of Vesperia because it is a JRPG...
And lawlz, Cliffy B did not say he hated GoW, GoW would not have sold so well, still be extremely popular, and have gotten great reviews from all if it sucked. He was jsut being very over critical. The game has it's flaws, but every game does, right Halo fans?

Actually, it is rare to see glitchers in ranked. I play online almost daily I know :P The only time I see glitchers is in player matches, which is usually just a bunch of fucking around anyway so no one minds
I never said he hated the game in general... he stated he 'hated' what it ending up becoming online, the shotgun rolling which is 90% of all that happens online in it is what he couldn't stand, then he openly said "yeah, I admit it..we fucked up." And though you don't mind that Blu, plenty of people do..anyone can play a third person game where you just roll around near people and fire a shotgun, gears is supposed to be way more than that, thats what Cliff was critisizing of the first games online and how it ended up is all. Not gonna get in a debate or argument, just stating what was the truth even from the man himself. I'm still super stoked for Gears 2 as I said though, it looks like its making a ton of improvements.

People can still do that but it'll just be a little tougher.
