I recently found my old XBOX in the recesses of my closet, and now I can buy pretty much any game for XBOX 1 without worrying if its BC with 360. However, I do wonder that when I do get the games, and if they are BC with 360, should I paly them on 360, or just on my XBOX 1 plugged into my LCD HDTV.

on a side question: Im asking because, quit hoenstly, I tried plugging in my old PS2 to this TV, and it didnt look that great. thsi coudl be because most PS2 games where 480i, and maybe thats why it registered bad on my HDTV. Since, to my knowledge, most XBOX games are 480p native ( I think), would the XBOX maybe turn out better plugged into the AV ports of the TV than the PS2 did? or will it look like crap as well?

anyway, back to the first Question, will the games that are BC on 360 look better on the 360, or will they look the same or worse? I know PS2 BC kinda has mixed results.

Pretty sure they'll look the same. I would just play them on my 360 if possible, so I don't have to play with the old Xbox controller or pull it out at all.

Buy Component cables for you XBOX1.  A lot of games for that system were actually capable of  720P resolution.  Your games will play better on the original hardware.  I notice quite a bit of stutter and glitching in most BC XBOX games that I play on my 360.  I don't have the original XBOX though so I'm stuck with it.  It's a nice feature but the original hardware is best.

Alot of the BC compatable games have been optimized a littlebit on 360,  the 360 may run at a higher framerate, better Anti Alaising, and further draw distances.

I will try and find an old page comparing the 2 , but it will be old so i may not have much luck.

A small Gamespot link, has rollover screen comparisions of 2 games,

Pretty much every game you want to play will work on the 360 so just try both for yourself and see what you prefer

I go 360 since I don't have an xbox 1 anymore + I prefer the controller if memory serves me!

As iam3green said, some games have issues with lag on the 360. Some games are upscaled by the 360 though, such as Halo 2 (or so I've heard).

@Raven_Sword: 480p is Enhanced Definition. 720p is High Definition. Anything that lists its res as 480p is going to look like crap on any HDTV with a native res of 720p or 1080p.
