Yep, that's what happens when your 360 doesn't get ventilation. I've seen that more than once at my local Toys R' Us. Also, Terminator did suck...so hard!
The Xbox 360 was never actually invented to be a video game console, the video games thing was just a cunning cover for their real plan. The 360 is disguised as a video game console and when people buy it and bring it into their homes it begins analyzing as much data about its owners and their technology as possible, until it has completed its task and seemingly "brakes", displaying three red lights. At this point the unwitting owner returns the console to Microsoft to have it repaired or replaced, only to have all the information that the machine has collected sold to a hostile alien race who swear to one day conquer Earth and enslave humanity with the data they are accumulating.

No, I did not design that display but I got to disassemble one of them. it's got vents on the back that keep sucking air out and vents on the bottom that keep pumping air in.
I'm quite sure someone does but...does anybody else think the Red Ring of Death sounds like a horrible STD? I don't own a 360 but I understand it's just as bad as an STD.
@natetodamax: I know what you mean, but if it´s still happening there is no reason not to post this. I saw this yesterday.
I am a proud owner of an Xbox 360, and it sucks to know that at any moment my console may just stop working.
I also think this shows how little Microsoft pays attention to it´s image. I mean, you´d think that by now they would have changed all the display models to the slimer chips to avoid overheating and public embarrassement.

@eroticfishcake: Yeah, but you can´t really send your "xbox" for repair and get it back to normal in less than three weeks with some STD´s.
@EVO: I don´t really wanna hijack my own thread with this, but overall I though the writing was pretty bad and illogical. You´d think that if machines are smart enough to build a human-like robot to inflitrate the resistance, they could have had thermal scanners and better aiming in their machines.
I don´t think the movie makes sense even in it´s own universe.
I've walked into a few gamestop's where the their display 360 wasn't even on. Maybe those people were smart enough to unplug the damn thing when it Red Ring'd, i imagine that wouldn't be great for sales if a customer walks in and see's 3 flashing red light on the console.
