I seriously regret putting in my real birthday when i signed up for xbox live back in 2005. I got into the preview program for the new xbox update including Facebook, Twitter, last.fm and all those other cool goodies. But like every cool new feature that Microsoft puts on Xbox Live, you have to have an adult Xbox Live account. Godammit Microsoft why must you always dissapoint me?

Be thankful that the upgrade is even possible. When I turned 18, I was still listed as a child account and have only recently been able to rectify it.

Stay with silver and be old. It works for me.

 I felted the same way when the last xbox live update for preview program, I was pissed when I found out. I used my older brother xbox live account, the next problem I had was the price of the clothes and stuff for your avatar.

Moral of the story: real birthdates are for jerks.

No it's not, it's 17. My account was a child account and when the email registered to it said 17 years old I could promote to adult account. "

Until I was 18 I'd put my birthday as April 1st 1938 or something. Everyone does it. Now I can put my actual Birthday.

Yes. Darn Microsoft for being cautious of lawsuit-happy parents. They should do away with that rule and be sued on a monthly basis like YouTube. Then they should sell drugs to schoolkids.

So wait, you need to have an adult count to use the preview or the actual features?

according to microsoft im 10 years older than i actually am.
