Amazon Prime is a glorious service. Free release date delivery, no tax, and there are $10-$20 credits for most popular games.

This is so old.  The OP references Circuit City for crying out loud.  I miss Circuit City too.

Anyone buy stuff from eBay? Some of their deals are pretty sweet.

Yip. It's good, but expect long waits, and if you're a PAL gamer then expect really long waits as most games come from Hong Kong.

I would say like 99% of my game purchases are done at Frys Electronics or through Amazon. The 1% is Gamestop when there is some sort of exclusive DLC code for pre-order blah blah blah, otherwise I would avoid the place like the plague.

Target, Fred Meyer, and/or rarely GameStop. Whatever's closest to home and has the games I want.

Amazon yo. $4 1-day shipping, free release-date shipping and often receiving $10 or $20 credits on purchases of "high-profile" games is enough for me to stop going to Best Buy and GameStop entirely.

I had a free year of this when I was a student and it was great. Would you say it's worth the £100 a year it costs though? I've been thinking about re-investing in it since I buy so much of my stuff from them already.

Other than that I buy a lot of second-hand games at CEX or occasionally will go to Game or HMV, but very rarely as those places are normally at least £5 more expensive than online.

EDIT: Wow. Three year old thread. Super bump.
