okay , so when the next Xbox comes out , there is a few things i think need to be done , that is ,

1.  i should be able to take my current 120GB hard Drive and just slot it onto my new Xbox 720
2.  Marketplace should contain everything it already does , and should just be moved onto the new xbox 720 marketplace
3. Gamescore should also be transffered too
4. they should just keep expanding XBLA , and not start over , cause were not going to go and buy all those games again

I sincerely doubt the next Xbox will be able to accept Xbox 360 hard drives.  That's just living in a dream world.

You recover your account onto "new xbox", you can re download any of your purchases to the new xbox. (themes,pics,arcade,video etc).
As for save files, maybe the new xbox will have a 360 memory card port, or maybe send the saves to a Flash drive to transfer or something.

Even though all that is possible, your most probably right. M$ will make us pay for what is already ours.

I feel like they mis titles the 360, I mean, what would the next Xbox be called? Xbox 3? To similar to 360, and it just doesn't fit considering the next PS will be called PS4.. 720? I mean, that doesn't make much sense either.. 360 meant a whole three hundred and sixty degrees around, a full circle, etc. 720 would mean two laps around? Lol... ?

im totally with you , im happy if we dont hear anything on the new one till 2011 E3 ,
i personally think there are far too many of my favourite franchises yet to see the next gen treatment yet , such as

SNK fighters
Tekken
Formula One
Capcom Fighters
Final Fantasy

I do worry tho
Because next gen development for games is taking a little too long , and that we arnt gonna see many franchises from the last generation even get a next gen appearence.

for example there were 3 Tekken's , 5 versions of GTA , 3(4) final fantasy's, Lots of King Of Fighters and Street Fighters

I read it was called the 360 in a nod to the 4 quarter circles that show which controls are on and off which represents a full 360 angle.

the next xbox wont come out any time soon.

The market place contains EVERYTHING you have downloaded and its ATTACHED to YOUR GAMERTAG, so you can just download em. (just like how you can do it now by going to Download history) so the harddrive is not needed.

Pretty sure gamer score will be transfered.

And no ones Fucking calling it the 720 except nerds on message boards who have nothing better to do. they'll call it xbox "something" they come up with. like how sega used to do. "saturn" "mastersystem" "dreamcast" etc. Everyone doesnt have to follow sony's 1,2,3,4 format

360's theme was "circles" and you are in the "center" of entertainment, thats why it was called the 360. whatever theme they choose for the next one, the name will follow that theme/format.

Seeing that it hasn't even been announced yet, the only thing you can count on is that it will still fully support Xbox Live and probably throw on features that are more robust than what we already have now.  Unless they somehow completely derive from their path of trying to make XBL the "be all, end all" of online gaming services.
