I'm probably picking up a PS3 here sometime soon to compliment my 360. It has a better library of games that suit my tastes compared to the Wii. Nintendo consoles are aimed pretty much only at people who like Nintendo first part crap which I never really got into. PS3 got some great stuff already I want and a bunch of upcoming things to so I'd say go for the PS3.

But I loved its level editor, has a lot of potential IMO, if they had some real good online connectivity I could imagine a big user level hub for people to DL.

Yes brawl looks better then lbp. To me. My opinion. Im not you Also, i have enough gritty war games on my 360.
No, MGS4 looks amazing, but is it wrong to not be totally stricken by it after playing so many shooters? And its called having an opinion. Just because "sentry" says something, doesn't mean everyone has to follow.
Depends. If you've got a 1080p TV (no worthwhile difference from upscaled DVD on 720p) and don't already have a Bluray player, go for the PS3. If not (or if you aren't bothered about movies) then go for the Wii, The 360 and the PS3 (much as the fanboys hate to admit it) have essentially the same types of games, with their respective exclusives primarily being similar to each other - for example Gran Turismo and Forza. So a PS3 won't give you much as a second console (same as a 360 wouldn't for a PS3 owner) compared to the Wii.
If i had the money for a complimentary console, It would be the Wii. If only for Brawl, playing online with my friends who have a Wii and Brawl. and pretty much the Nintendo classic franchises (Zelda, Metroid, Mario etc.) Since most of the games on PS3 are on Xbox 360 and theres only 1 PS3 exclusive that interests me (MGS 4).

Quantify that. Other than a few exclusives (now with one of their biggest titles cross-platform) the PS3 isn't offering much else. Same would go for someone with a PS3. The two consoles are similar.

Nobody can offer you anything definitive. Logically the Wii might seem like a better choice, as there is much less redundancy between the two systems, but I've barely touched my Wii since playing through RE4 a couple of times, and even that was something I'd already played on the GameCube. My PS3 and Xbox 360 both get pretty good usage. It's kind of extravagant to have both for the limited number of exclusives on either system, but quite a lot of people seem to be doing it, so if you have the resources, it's not a bad way to go. Apart from the big exclusives, each has quite a nice selection of downloadable games by now.
It obviously depends on what sort of thing you're after. If you're after a different experience than what the 360 has to offer, the Wii is probably your best bet (even though a lot of the games just substitute gestures for button presses); if you're into movies, have an HD TV or monitor, and are enough of a sucker for good graphics and all that to want all the latest releases, the PS3 could be the better option. But you know that all already, of course.
I have to say I'm kind of concerned about the Wii's software line-up, and with the technology it has, it doesn't have as much time to sort itself out as it might otherwise have had. Not that that will spell disaster for it in financial terms, by any means. It will remain a tremendous business success, I'm sure. I just don't know whether it will succeed in gaming terms. But I guess that depends on the criteria you judge it by. If you love the waggle, get the box with waggle. PS3 tilty isn't that astounding, and is at its best when used sparingly in carefully-selected situations. And stuff like flOw works pretty well, if that's your bag.

Truth be told, I would honestly recommend a look at a PC upgrade or a whole new rig. With Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, Spore, Crysis Warhead, and the continually growing support and release of older games on digital download services, for me, it's the best choice. And that's not to mention cross-platform games like Fallout 3.

True. I'm going to be getting a high end PC soon enough, PS3 + PC is a good combo IMO.

EDIT: My personal favorite are the people that recommend skipping the 360 to the OP, who says in his post and the title and in his selection of forum that he already has a 360.
I bought a PS3 a few months back and almost never turn it on. I play almost everything on my 360. My BluRay collection is small and until BluRay movies get cheaper it ain't growing larger. I suggest you buy a PSP or something. The Wii is ok if you have people over a lot but otherwise it collects dust.

He already has a 360 though, so im assuming you're talking to those who don't. And yeah, most 360 exclusives go to PC, and even Halo 3 will be eventually come to PC, as it was just leaked out a few weeks ago... So for someone who has no console, PS3 + PC would be good, because both have great exclusives on them that are worth the system. Wii is cheap anyways, so you could get that whenever lol.
