I just set it to mute everyone not on my friends list or on my team, and mute my team manually if I need to, and have a perfectly fine experience on Live.
youtube spam is a forum rule, nothing to do with content part of the site
You do know that every article also is a forum topic right?
Which is why videos are not articles.
You posting one 2 year old vid that was posted as news by a staff member, does nothing. If you want to argue forum rules and their aplicability to staff members you can argue them with the mods, not me.

Thank you, I hate the trend of people saying "well you couldn't do any better!" It's such broken logic and I'm very glad that someone else finally realises this
