I'll say 80%
what % of people on xbox live are jerks
The percentage that plays Halo 3 exclusively.
Seriously, every other community is mellow. The Halo 3 community refuses to temper its level of abrasiveness.
"how about you what do you think?"Dude, don't bump your own threads. That's just uncouth.
no I've never played on live I've just heard 100s of stories and thought it would be a hoot to talk about it
"kingmasters said:what is it like "oh bitch I gots me this fire dragon over here and he'll fuck you up good" is it like that because that would be awesome"I bet the culdsep saga crowd is nice"Well I play Culdcept Sage so you know that can't be true..."
"The percentage that plays Halo 3 exclusively.Wrong on so many levels. CoD4 is exactly like Halo 3. Bump somebody in Forza by accident and they'll likely pronounce vendetta upon you. The idiots driving the wrong way in Grid who ruin the game. The Xbox Live Camera abusers on Uno. I can go on. Singling out one game is nonsense.

true there are asshats everywhere on the interwebs. Play some tf2 on steam, then play some halo and note the differences >.>. There are a-holes everywhere on the internet but not nearly to the same degree and general volume as you would find on xbox live. id say 96.25% of everyone who cares to talk on xbox live imo.
"kingmasters said:I don't know. Mostly, this sort of thing comes down to subjective experience. Regardless, the Halo community has been the bane of my life in Xbox Live. In other games (that I've played), these sorts of things don't happen to quite the degree of antagonism you'll find in a general Halo match. My relative apathy towards victory (and concordant emphasis on fun) seems to be reciprocated more often in other games, but in Halo, every round devolves quickly into a trash-talking, mother-insulting assfest. People can't stand losing in that game, and attribute loss to lag, or glitching, or cheating. When they do win, it is never because you may have experienced connection problems, but because they deem themselves far superior to your skill level, and it is at that point that they look to insult your rank, or your effort."kmdrkul said:No, not at all. "Fun" is not a word in a Halo player's vocabulary, I've found. It just isn't. Every other game community, however, feels courteous enough to say "good game" after their players come in second, third, or eighth place.
Maybe it's you who takes the game too seriously, hm?
I would say only about 5% are so bad you can't stand being in that game for any longer. People who make annoying sounds and sing make up for and additional 10%.
So really only about 15%. This number can vary depending on which kinds of games you play. There are annoying people in just about every second game of Halo; but I have never encountered anyone annoying on N+.

depends on the game. ut3 is mostly mature people, ive only run into a server with annoying racist kids once. same with tf2. on halo, its possible to get matched with 15 assholes. i once went into a btb server where everyone, literally EVERYONE (but me) was screaming "white power!". cod 4 used to be pretty clean when it was new, youd only get like one a-hole in a server, and even that was kinda rare. nowadays, about half of the people are a-holes. gears was always (and probably is still) infested with assholes. people take that game too seriously.
I'm more like 20%. I usually play with friends I already know, but when I do play with random people it's only occasionally that I end up avoiding a player.
I'd have to say a little over 50%. I swear it's every other game I join(at least in halo) that I get at least one ass that thinks he's better than the rest(even though his rank clearly doesn't show it) and feels he has the right to talk smack to everyone. Even those with no mics I see get harassed just for having a different name than the smack talker. Kind of silly yet sad how far they'll go for attention.

Anyway, simple solution when playing Halo: plug in mic, turn volume all the way down, set on lap. Bingo Bango no more trash talking.
100% and im including myself in that statement. Everyone does something "jerky" at some point or another whether they realize it or not
