Apropos of nothing here's my list of games that should be backwards compatible sooner rather than later. For the sake of not only convenience but for these games to find a new audience as well. I want underrated games on the new system.

    1. Vanquish

    No Caption Provided

Platinum made a shooter? Yeah surprise surprise but not so much of a shock is that it fucking rules, the mechanic of sliding all over the map and shooting makes thing just chaotic enough that it works. My dream is that this game one day gets a sequel, with a multiplayer that would be balls out crazy. Think of how console shooters have gone in terms of mobility and speed, Vanquish was doing that in 2010.

    2. LA Noire

    No Caption Provided

I think this game holds up. It inherently has lesser replay value than a lot of games given the nature of the gameplay, if you know the form an investigation is going to take the second time you can go through the game easily there is no process of elimination. Having very recently played through it for the first time since when it came out in 2011, I was surprised at graphically the game holds up, and how incredible face teach on display still is.Microsoft recently cracked multi disc emulation, allowing games like LA Noire that were multiple discs to be backwards compatible, and Rockstar seems to be in the business lately of re-releasing old games on new platforms. The old GTA games and the Warriors just came out on PS4, and Red Dead made it to Xbox One, keep the ball rolling Rockstar! This game is underrated, and I think this game copped so much flak because people were expecting GTA: 1947, I know I did.

    3. MGS HD edition

Yeah I'm not gonna plead to Konami for this, there's never going to be another Metal Gear that don't involve ball bearings and gambling but hey they seem to still like money so put this on backwards compatible already.

    4. AFL Live

    No Caption Provided

(If you aren't an Aussie just glaze over this entry)

This game isn't that good, but its fun and its all we have in terms of sports simulation for the greatest game on earth. I'm also acutely aware with the way video game development costs are sky rocketing and the cost of developing games in Australia that there probably won't be an AFL game released on the PS4 or Xbox One system. Give us this at the very least.

    5. Uno with Kinect Support

    No Caption Provided

You know it makes sense. Who doesn't want to see what's on offer in the living room of Uno players once more? Kinect needed a killer app its whole service life, why not give this a shot?

Good List: I would add Fable 1 to it in place of that Australian thing you've got going on there :p. Fable 2 and 3 are backwards compatible. No idea why 1 isn't. Or Fable Anniversary would work too.

@chocolatet: Believe it or not but I was holding my copy of Vanquish just yesterday and said to myself "Man this game really needs to get added to backwards compatibility on XB1. Failing that at least sell me the game again."

    Others I might add:

    • Rockstar's Table Tennis
    • Bully
    • Virtua Fighter 5
    • Splinter Cell: Conviction
    • Nier
    • Street Fighter 4
    • Blue Dragon
    • Lost Odyssey
    • Mass Effect 2 & 3

I'm in the same boat with regards to a sports title that I love. NCAA Football likely won't be made again due to - as I understand it - the way they changed the team licensing. It sucks that when my 360 gets put away (or dies), I won't have a way to play one of my favorite games.

Mark of the Ninja needs to be backwards compatible. One of the best downloadable titles of the generation.

I want F.E.A.R 2 and Warhammer 40K: Space Marine so god damn bad. I'm super glad with the list so far though. Now that it contains games such as Dark Souls, Super Meat Boy, XCOM and Fallout New Vegas the Xbox One is all of a sudden a far better console than before.

While lots of these games are fairly obscure, that hasn't stopped them from becoming BC which is awesome. They've put out a lot of weird variety that I've enjoyed.

I definitely want to see Dead Space 3 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Yeah, ok. Vanquish is amazing and entirely unique, always good to have a reason to play it again. See how long I can play before failing those challenges again.

Hell, just put all the Platinum games on there.

@dudeglove: says you. I think it's one of the best games of the generation, a new kind of adventure game.

    1. Ninja Gaiden 2: I've played every version of this and despite some dodgy framerate issues on higher difficulties the 360 version is my personal favourite.
    2. Vanquish: Like the OP I really like what this game did and have the urge to play it again, but would rather do it on the XBO.
    3. Bayonetta: I've got the Wii U version but I prefer the 360/XBO controller. Also the Wii U version has two button prompts for each controller which irritates me more than it should.
    4. Mass Effect 2: Having two discs and dealing with the load times were pretty painful on 360 but that was the price you had to pay to play that game with a controller.
    5. Mass Effect 3: Mareswell complete the package.

I don't have a One, but I want more people to play Max Payne 3 so that Rockstar makes more games like it, so that.
