I have prime so I'm okay with waiting a few days to save 10 dollars, but I can't find any information if it comes with a download code for steam. I would have to assume but just to check. Has any one picked up the disk version of this and can confirm?

It will yes because the DRM they use is Steam, though I'd wait for "Cyber Monday" deals to come and go before you pull the trigger on a physical copy just in case.
