    Yajirobe is often used as comic relief in the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series although does help in some key battles.

    When Goku was being attacked by Vegeta in his Giant Ape form Yajirobe overcame his cowardliness and cut of Vegeta's tail with a single swipe of his blade causing Vegeta to become weaker and revert to his original form. Without this action the Earth would have surely been doomed.
