Yoshi is the most lovable of all of the Nintendo characters. He has brought nothing but peace and goodwill to the world. Plus Super Mario World is one of the greatest games of all time!
I'm in agreeance(i realize this probably isn't a word) here. Yoshi is awesome! Also, someone said yoshi is horrible in Mario Kart, whoever that is fails and isn't playing it properly. Having that insane amount of accel is awesome in that game cause you're always getting shelled.
I think he associates Yoshi with a decline in quality for Mario games. Also, Yoshi's Story was pretty bad. Yoshi's Island, however, is my favorite platformer there ever was. Even with Baby Mario.
Ryan, it seems, like many others on this site is a professional cynic. Deal with it - I mean, we'll never find out why the GB guys love or hate certain things. They just do, it's a feeling. Stop asking.
I never had a problem with Yoshi, in Super Mario world I thought he totally fit and was not was not "Cutsey" in any way, it was only the transition to the Baby Mario era that Yoshi got turned into what he now is.
