Final Fantasy XIV
Y'shtola is a Miqo'te Conjurer, known for her calm demeanor and scholarly nature. She is one of the members of the Circle of Knowing, also known as Archons, who are recognizable by a tattoo on the neck.
Y'shtola appears often during the story line in Limsa Lominsa, looking for the instigator of recent attacks by the Sahagin. Y'shtola is able to conjure a protective barrier, which she uses a few times during the story to defend the player and the other members of the Circle of Knowing.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
In the aftermath of the Calamity, which changes the landscape of Eorzea, the Circle of Knowing has since joined up with the Path of the Twelve to form the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Y'shtola is one of its most trusted members.
She aids players who start in Limsa Lominsa. She first meet up with the player in a cave near Summerford Farms when they're both investigating a report of townspeople who went missing. Later she helps the player during fights against a masked mage. She's also part of the rescue mission at Castrum Centri to free the captured Minfilia.
Y'shtola often worries about the relationship between the big cities and the beast tribes. She notices that the beast tribes summon their primals as an act of self-preservation because they're feeling threatened by cities growing into their territory. She thinks that fighting the beast tribes and their primals will ultimately result in the tribes feeling more threatened and them summoning even more powerful primals.
