Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is a free to play mobile focused card battling rpg. The premise of the game is that Seto Kaiba has created a virtual "Duel World" in order to attract the best dualists from around the world to compete. As the player progresses they will meet many characters from the original anime to both challenge to duels and play as.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links uses the same basic rules of the physical Yu-Gi-Oh! card game but with a couple of small differences. The play field only has 3 slots for monster and spell/trap cards instead of the usual 5 and the starting life points are set at 4,000 instead of 8,000. The game also features smaller maximum deck sizes

The game offers both a single player mode in the form of npc duels and a multiplayer with pvp ranked and unranked duels. In the single player the player must duel npc's and legendary dualists to to increase their character level and stage. By increasing the player's stage the player will gain unlockables and currency. By increasing the character level the player will unlock new cards and currency as well as unlockables.

The Game uses 4 types of currency

    • Stones/Jewels (for trading cards)
    • Gems (for buying card packs)
    • Gold (for trading cards)
