After spending most of his life on planet Ropesk, Yuri decided to leave his home planet and travel through space, an act which was forbidden by Ropesk's ruler, Demid Panfilov. Thanks mostly to Nia Lochlain, Yuri succeeds in becoming a 'zero-G dog', a space-traveller free to explore the universe. He wishes to find and understand the Epitaphs, mysterious ancient artifacts said to be able to grant the power to manipulate the universe to whoever possesses them.
Yuri is an all-around warrior, skilled at both close-combat and ship-to-ship battles. His only known relative is his sister Kira.
