Zaxxon is an arcade title that was originally released in 1981 and later ported to a multitude of home platforms over the years. Developed by Sega, the game is a space shooter viewed from an isometric perspective. This perspective made the game stand out from other space shooters of the era, as most at the time were strictly either top-down shooters or side-scrollers.
