    Background 

    Zuko is the great grandchild from Aang's previous incarnation, Avatar Roku. He was dearly beloved by his mother, Lady Ursa, and badly treated by his own father, Fire Lord Ozai. His father always compared him with his sister, Azule, a prodigy firebender. "Azula is born lucky, Zuko is lucky to be born."

    His mother sacrificed herself for his sake and her last word for him were "Never forget who you are" which refers to his lineage with Avatar Roku.
