How do you delay something that hasn't been announced? I have been expecting new Switch in 2025. If you're saying all of the "experts" who were saying it was coming in 2024 are now saying 2025, then I guess I would say, "No surprise."
@bigsocrates: IMO, probably. It's because we have selective memories. There are games on every console that I wish I could play again for the first time. There's also nostalgia for just being younger in general.
I don't think Microsoft is going third party. I think they're realizing that they lost the "most important" console generation in the PS4/Xbone because people built their digital libraries up then. They're realizing it and pivoting. They realize that there are roughly twice as many PS5s than Serieses. So, they have an opportunity to increase sales by putting their games over there. I think they also are hoping this is an inroad to putting Game Pass on PS5. Ultimately, I think this is what they really want. They want to have Game Pass available in as many places as possible, because subscriptions can bring in so much revenue (especially when people forget to cancel them). I picked up a Series S (because I got one for cheap) and it's been a fantastic Game Pass machine. If I only needed a Sony machine and a Nintendo machine, that would be pretty sweet.
I recently wrapped this up. I didn't like it as much as Turnip Boy Robs a Bank. I felt the first game was a tighter experience. The rougelite elements were kind of annoying/tedious.
Where did you talk more about this moment? I was trying to find it, because I'm curious what moment it was. Interestingly, we had opposite opinions about both Fallen Order & Survivor.
Had it not been for the ending of Zelda, one moment in this game would have been my favorite curated* (I'll explain more about what this means later) moment in a game this year - it's a moment that mixes visuals, the soundtrack, the characters, and gameplay in such a spectacular (and spectacularly Star Wars) way, and it's a moment I wish I could experience again for the first time.
This is tough, because announcement doesn't mean it's coming any time soon. So, something I want could be announced this year, but not come out for 5+ years, which means I would rather it not be announced.
Too much pronoun use, so please help me out. The guest on the episode was talking about a game where you're descended from heaven because there is a war going on there. What were they playing?
