Alright, then. Make Payday 2 with Frostbite, and I will be pleased.

Battlefield Hardline Delayed into 2015, Dragon Age Until November
I wonder i we might get surprised by Hardline. I completely understand the criticisms (namely that is feels more like a mod than a full price title), but it was a real beta. Not a fake beta just to drive up sales. They are actively using it to iron out bugs, get proper feedback, and improve the end product. That is encouraging.
More like Drag-in-on (an) Age, amirite?
He's got some true snap back action going on right there.
It's kind of mesmerizing. Thumps up. Thumbs up. Thumps up. Thumbs upThumps up. Thumbs upThumps up. Thumbs upThumps up. Thumbs upThumps up. Thumbs up

And nothing of value was lost.
Pretty much. DA: I may turn out to be amazing, but it still won't be what I want from a DA game. In fact, it sounds to be even less of what I want from a DA game. And is anyone really bummed out about Battlefield: Hardline after the mess that was Battlefield 4?

This would be a fucking great game.
And CYNICAL CONSPIRACY THEORY OF THE DAY...
What if EA is pushing it back in attempt to make people forget it's just a mod for $60?

I'll thumbs that up with a smile...
Maybe bumblebee
Awesom, gives me more time to play Shadow of Mordor and either cry tears or be joyful at alien isolation. And Hardline I'm fine with waiting. Still haven't fully healed from my shitty ps4 time with bf4. Still sad that Visceral isn't making a new ip but oh well
Dragon Age getting delayed doesn't really worry me. That game needs as much polish as it can get, though I have the sinking suspicion it won't be the game I want it to be either way...

@smcn: Yeaahh but... Mass 3 was delayed and I want to say Dragon Age 2 was delayed as well. I'm not saying that DA3 will be bad, but considering BioWare's recent track record I have to say that delays from them is starting to become a bad omen.
I can't remember if it was delayed but Dragon Age 2 was forced out in a year, and even with it's obvious problems I think they managed pretty well for that sort of crunch.
I thought ME3 turned out great so I guess nothing to add there.
Oh dude don't misunderstand; I am completely empathetic to BioWare's position in regards to DA2. Once it came to light how badly they got shafted, I came to appreciate just how much they could get done in 10 months. They managed to create a 30 hour RPG in a year. That's fucking insane.
ME3 was great, but there were clearly chunks of stuff missing. It took almost a year of DLC to get it to the point where it felt whole. I'm really hoping that EA hasn't hobbled BioWare this time because, man, I really love that studio and the way they make games.
Was that actually the amount of time they had for DA 2? That explains a lot.
Inor Zur (composer) actually talked about that games development rushed cycle after it came out. The language EA immediately started internally using after the buy out was an enormous red flag ("capitalizing on the success of Origins" I believe), especially when they were shouting from the roof tops that they had learned their lesson and this time it would be different.
For me, Hardline was higher on my list than Dragon Age, for the fact that Visceral was working on it. There's a trend of FPS games with interesting campaigns at the moment and I'm curious to see what Visceral can do.
As for Dragon Age, I didn't enjoy the previous ones very much and so far it seems like EA has spend more time talking about who you can fuck, rather than the stuff they can do in battle.
For as much as I like video games (and songs) about fuckin', I'd be more interested to see if they are legitimalnly sincere about making a good fantasy RPG, rather than another fundraiser for the next Mass Effect game.
Good for Dragon Age, they get out of the death slot that is October 2014.
Until every other game coming out in October gets pushed into 2015.
2014: The Year of 2015
Great. Look forward to Battlefield 4: GOTY Hey it Works Edition October 2014, Hardline March 2015, and Battlefield 5 October 2015.

Isn't 2014 already the year of the remake?
I really, really, really, really, really hope that Visceral can find something interesting to with that multiplayer.
The objectives need to be more than just a pile of money because for the amount of gear that the criminals throw at trying to knock over a couple armoured cars, there's no way to make a profit. I'm not saying that any game is forced to portray life as it is but the scale of conflict I saw in the beta in no way relates to any heist I've ever heard of. Instead of making Heat: The Video Game, they've thrown a thin coat of crime paint on Battlefield.
I keep forget that Dragon Age 3 is coming out. As someone who put 200+ hours into the original (according to Steam), that should say something.
Give it another month, sure. Couldn't hurt.
Of all the days for EA to drop Dragon Age on, it had to be the day Far Cry 4 comes out. My 'one game at a time' mentality is going to break me.
I was kinda looking forward to whatever day it was in October that had like 3 major games slotted for release.
And hey guys, they aren't annualizing Battlefield after all!

I thought that was every year...
Don't care. Battlefield is dead to me; not just because BF4 has been a joke up to now, but also because BF3 and 4 just don't bring me any joy at all. If Dice announce another Bad Company game I will have a look, but never again will I get another game of theirs at launch. http://catmarioonline.net/
Breaking: No games to be released in 2014.
"Let's just call this one a mulligan." say industry leaders.
This makes me think that Battlefield Hardline might not be total junk, which is cool. And honestly, Evolve is probably gonna take up a lot of my multiplayer time this year anyway. I think it's great news.
The cynic in me thinks Hardline was actually delayed to avoid it getting eviscerated by Activision's 2-hit combo of Destiny-Call of Duty.
EA is in real bad shape lately. It seems bizarrely like the next generation caught them by surprise. Nothing's ready. And of the few things that are or were, there are delays (Here) technical meltdowns (BF4) and skipped instalments (Need for Speed taking a year out, giving Ubisoft an open goal to get in the fight).
Even Sim City (2013) and The Sims 4 are messes with missing existing features and over-engineered trivial additions, crapped out early with vague promises of improvements to come.
I honestly can't tell if Patrick is being sarcastic with this article or not. If he is, hilarious. If he's not, then he's being a mouthpiece for the games industry: There's nothing wrong with the games industry this year! There's totally cool games coming out this year! Not everything is being delayed until 2015! We still have Call of Duty! Right? Guys? Guys? Where is everybody going?!?

October is actually kind of packed.
Smash Bros for 3DS, Skylanders 4 Jeff, Alien Isolation, Driveclub, Shadow of Mordor, Borderlands 1.5, The Evil Within, Evolve, Fantasia, Civ: Alpha Centauri, Assassin's Creed Unity, Sunset Overdrive, Bayonetta 2 and a myriad of sports games.
Most people will only be interested in 3 or 4 of those games but that's enough.
@j23: I think the plan was to have Battlefront be the Battlefield game for next year.
Yeah, and Hardline was the Battlefield game for this year. But who's going to care about Hardline with Battlefront on the horizon next year? Unless they really re-tool the game into something more fun, I can't see it really taking off like Battlefront (probably) will.
Not to be a cynical asshat (I lie, ofcourse), but these bulletpoints just reads like
1. People thought this was a mod, so we have to flesh the game out
2. People thought this was a mod so we thought having a decent SP-campaign might be a good idea
3. Oh god Battlefield 4, oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck
As a Battlefield fan, I can't see additional development time increasing my desire to play Hardline. It just doesn't seem like a very well conceived premise from the ground up.
That said, total props for them for identifying that a delay is necessary, rather than the 'beat CoD out the gate at all costs' mentality.
@j23: I don't think we'll be seeing Battlefront until 2017 because they showed what they had at E3 and that wasn't much at all. It looked like they are just in the planning phase since they were just showing concepts and generations of rough ideas.
