I usually gravitate towards characters that have great speech, lock-picking or hacking skills. It stems from an inate desire to see everything. If there's some kind of locked door, special area or something, I want to see it and you can't always force yourself through.

I am the exact same way, especially with Fallout games, since a lot of history/lore is stored in files locked behind terminals. I am like Vinny in that I spend WAY too much time reading all the in-game databases/scrolls/books/etc. that tell the history and info about everything in the world.

Now that we have had time to analyze the Perk Chart, and pretty much figure out what all of the perks do, it's time to think about what kind of character you want your Sole Survivor to be.

Melee focused? Dumb Jock? Charismatic Sharpshooter? It's up to you!

A fellow Fallout fan created a website, where you can tinker around with a mock character builder. You can assign the first available 28 points to each S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat, accompanied by the aforementioned Perk Chart to help you decided how many points to drop in each stat based on what perks they could give you and which ones you want!

So, with all of that in, what sort of character(s) are you going to develop while traversing through the Commonwealth? What are going to be the first perks that you are going to get to help your Sole Survivor fulfill his destiny?

My Character: Suave Scientist

Original Stats:

  • S - 3
  • P - 4
  • E - 4
  • C - 6
  • I - 6
  • A - 3
  • L - 2

First Perks Taken: Hacker, Science!, Local Leader, Gun Nut, Cap Collector

I ended up getting the Vizio E55. You are right, @mike, the picture is gorgeous on this TV, especially after I tweaked the calibration settings.

@mike: My previous TV was a Vizio M50 I got last year and loved it. My parents also have 2 Vizios.

Would you suggest the E50 or M50 model? Both are in my price range.

@alanm26v5: I was looking at the Vizio M series, but I've heard that the input lag isn't good on them in terms of gaming. Then again, I don't know if it's enough to notice a difference between the E and M models.

I use chopsticks when appropriate. It's always a nice change of pace from the regular fork/spoon.

I am responsible for the Wiki here on Giant Bomb, and I have already been writing an outline for a Giant Bomb Guide (in case anybody else wants to join the crazy party).

Fallout 4 is serious business to me.

I drive a 2007 Kia Spectra. It's not the best car in the world, but it drives well and hasn't given me any problems outside of basic maintenance.

Hello, my fellow duders!

I am in the market for a new TV for gaming (long story short - my previous TV got into an accident while I was away).

My previous TV was 50", and I found that to be my ideal size. The viewing distance will beI don't want to break the bank, so looking in the up-to-$800 range. The two that I have looked at most recently are the Vizion E50 and Samsung UN50J6200.

What would your suggestions be, Giant Bomb?

I would like to also throw my hat into the ring of "Life is Strange". It's a perfect game for the GBeast crew!!
