A length of exceptionally sharp metal with a handle, used for centuries as the go-to killing device for the human race. It's dead simple: you stick the pointy end in the thing you want to die. Or you could always slash them with the equally sharp sides. That works too.

A throwing weapon used by ninja. They come in varying shapes and sizes, but generally aren't used for the purpose of eliminating the target, rather for distracting said target.
Doors are a common object in most video games, as well as the keys and objects needed to open them. From role playing to shooters, doors are an important component of many games.
Lava is molten rock, usually from the interior of a planet, and in games is often used as a hazard to players, or as a visible gameplay-area boundary.
A ball of hot flickering fire. Usually thrown from the hero's hand into the squealing face of the enemy.
Spikes are dangerous and often deadly obstacles that can line the floor, walls, or ceiling of any given room or passageway. They are an extremely common form of environmental hazard, particularly in side-scrolling games.
A laser is a focused beam of light, invisible through the air without some other medium (such as smoke) to illuminate it. Lasers are often used in video games as part of a targeting system, or as an offensive weapon in their own right.
A box containing treasure usually in the form of gold or valuable items.
The premier choice in your defensive needs. A great companion for any one handed sword, which in addition to blocking can be used for advanced maneuvers like Shield Bashes.
An article of clothing that rests on top of one's head.
Facial hair consists of anything from a mustache to sideburns. Facial hair has been a close friend of gaming from the beginning.
Whether it's worn for protection or style, helmets appear in various game genres.
An explosive ordinance propelled by a rocket engine designed to blow an object to smithereens. A missile is often guided, in some way, to its target. For example; by laser, remote control, or computer/GPS.

A ladder is used to gain access to higher or lower ground. Also used as a weapon in most wrestling games.

Used to open doors, or anything else that is locked. In any game where the player has an inventory, it's a safe bet that a key will appear at some point.

Bubbles help you float, they can help you see things in a magnified way. Bubbles can also be your best of friend, which is why they should be handled with only the softest of breath.
The axe is a tool used for many activities. Its uses include cutting wood, knocking down doors in emergencies, and rending your enemies limb from limb without mercy or regret.
