No. The Bombcast is indeed an irreplaceably great and unique podcast, but I wouldn't be able to justify spending money on something I basically get for free from every other website in existence. They should do sponsored-by ads within the podcast itself. I have absolutely zero problem with those, even if they take a break in the middle for an ad like most TWiT podcasts do.
No. And I wouldn't object to them putting ads before and after the podcast. Everyone has bills to pay. I think that Whiskey Media sites have handled advertising very well, and I know if they decided to sell ads for the Bombcast, it wouldn't be dumb bullshit.
Depends on how much. If it's an annual subscription somewhere between 10-15 dollars, I can take that. If I gotta pay a dollar an episode, that's 50 bucks a year and I find it really hard to justify that.
Nah. It's awesome, but suddenly charging for something when I had it for two+ years for free? Giantbomb would have a tough time justifying that for me.
For the bombcast alone, no. For the entire giantbomb site? Maaaaaybe.. If the price was right. But then I would be expecting awesome quicklook videos every single day, and be disappointed if they skipped a day or two in a week, and feel like I wasn't getting my money's worth. Yeah, I wouldn't like that to happen. I would probably donate a little something though, if I was able to.
