This is a neat little creepy adventure game that does a few interesting things
Going into this game it is fairly obvious what it is just by looking at the game on any storefront. A pixel art horror adventure game. It lives up to that monekor very well. But does it does it do anything worthwhile with it? Let's find out by first summing up what your getting into first.
All is not well in the house of a little girl named Luzia. Turns out her sister has been turned into some kind of yokai and they both seem rather clueless why. After some probing by a mysterious old lady they must try to make their way home.
Most of what this game has to offer is the way it is telling its story. With how it deals out the hints at what is actually going on is fairly well done. Some of the shock value it does seems very unearned and mostly shown to shock the player in an uninteresting way. Honestly as a horror game this doesn’t do much at all. Don’t expect it to be very scary since it's more about the creepy atmosphere. Plus it even does a few neat moments with the fact it is a video game.
Figuring out what to do next to continue the narrative is super easy. Each new area makes it really obvious what the player needs to do next to proceed. Which is the kind of game I like. Sure some puzzles that take some thinking are good too but for a game like this I’m just here to see what happens next. So if that is something you prefer then this isn’t a good game to pick up.
Overall I got what I expected out of this game. A short & simple horror adventure game. The pixel art is nice and the 2-4 hour run time prevents it from overstaying its welcome. If your in the mood for a simple adventure game with a horror theme to it then this is a game worth checking out.
