Overview
Pocket Mine is an action/mining game developed and published by Roofdog Games for iOS and Android.
Gameplay
In Pocket Mine players dig down an endless mine by tapping on blocks to mine them. The players pickaxe has a strength number that indicates how many times it can be used before it is broken. This number can be upgraded by spending money earned in the game.
At the beginning of each game the player will be given 3 random cards from their collection. These cards give bonuses such as more coal being present or more bomb crates. These three cards can be reshuffled for a fee of the in-game money.
Players are given 5 energy at the start of the game and each play uses 1. The energy refills over a set period of real world time.
Currencies
There are two currencies used to buy items and upgrades in the game and keys used to open chests.
- Ruby - Rubies are rare gems that are used to either resurrect the players pickaxe when it has broken or to play on special mines that will pop up on certain days. Rubies can be purchased using real world money or can be earned rarely in game.
- Cash - Cash is earned when collecting the various ore and gems during normal gameplay. This currency can not be purchased using real world money. The cash is used to upgrade the players pickaxe or fuse cards.
- Keys - Keys are used to open the various kinds of treasure chests that are obtained through gameplay. Keys can be earned through some of the special mines, or by purchasing them with rubies.
