The entire site went down at 12 am pst, after which I was logged out. It took several attempts logging in before the state would "stick". (it doesn't help that giantbomb's captcha with google takes minutes to complete)

Are log ins perhaps be tied to some in-memory service that is getting rebooted on occasion?

Hi Ermek, might be worth reviewing cors first https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/CORS. If you are making a request on the frontend from your site to an external domain, it needs to pass a cors test in modern browsers which isn't generally typical for an api like this to wildcard.

While I haven't worked with the gb api, in general it's not great practice to work with an external api in the frontend of your app. That would expose your api key and enable other users to make malicious requests on your behalf.

Instead have you looked into doing the necessary requests on your server and giving the response to the client? You won't need to bother with cors and can keep your secrets safe.

Cheers!

Yes, if you're only going to watch one, watch Road Warrior. The first one has great mood and atmosphere, with some really cool sections and scenes in it. However it has pretty bad pacing issues and can get pretty boring at times.

Road Warrior definitely gets a bit too ambitious with sets and costumes for the budget and it shows. It also starts adding in a bit more comic relief. With all that said though, it's easily the best of the three.

I don't remember much about Beyond Thunderdome except that I just didn't care for it as much as the first two.

The podcasts were great as usual and so were the press conference stuff, but I'm always upset by how little video content we get during the show floor time. I live what drew does with showing behind the scenes, but as demonstrated by this year we only get day one wrap up and then day two is kinda meshed in with the behind the scenes video. Day 3 never shows up. And as usual podcasts go we don't always hear about everything you guys see even the week after. So honestly I would like a bit more content focused on that in a clear and concise place. Opposed to me scanning through Drew's (very well done) behind the scenes video and the podcast which is 3 hours long. I like both of those things but I would like to also have a wrap up for the actual games since e3 podcasts focus more on people and different topics.

The other method which you guys have kinda done in e3's past is to have the last segment devoted to what the staff played. I would also be ok with this, but this year it was gone due to a large number of guests shuffling in and out.

Man, this just made me remember how much I loved this game. I got this for Christmas along with a playstation and I loved it. I was only 8 years old and had never played an rpg before and man was this game awesome. The gameplay is still unique to this day.
