Like many of you I wasn't interested in this at all. But hearing how they make Pikachu understandable by the main character, but no one else, made it more legitimate. Seems fun, and even more when you pretend it's Deadpool stuck in Pikachu's body somehow.

It's cool, but I don't have that kind of time now. If I'm gonna play a game it better be in its final state. If it's a multiplayer beta then I might only due to the group nature of playing a messed up game, but single player games nah.

I don't usually pay attention, but you just made me look.

Fuck. What the hell did all that time come from? Probably back when I used to be into trading items. Still, it's a lot more than I expected.

@cikame: I'm in the same ballpark as you bud. I think I just wanted too many things at the same time and didn't commit to a single objective which led to deep dissatisfaction. Perhaps you found your thing and did it?

Don't worry, in the year or 2050 Giantbomb.com will still be around but it will be a site where you get tracker files for Erotic Japanese video games.

I'm certain Giantbomb will endure the great anime wars that are to come.

Watched Downsizing. Surprised me, kinda sweet and not as throw-away as I imagined the story was gonna be. A bit shallow in parts, but a good movie to watch and pass the time if someone is paying for your ticket.

Bothell boiiiiiiii

Welcome to Washington State son! I would say the best thing about the Seattle area is the weather during summer. It's just fantastic, so you picked the perfect time to move. What to do? Go to a Mariners game at least once, Seahawks if you can grab tickets. Sports not your thing? There's so many places to hike, one I liked was Rattle Snake Ridge; it's pleasantly challenging with a beautiful view at the top. At Lake Union (or most lakes) you can kayak, canoe, but be wary where you fish there's some algae around that might make you super sick. There's also lot of artists that stop by during their tours, so if you like music or stand up or some combination of that you'll find someone to see. Oh Capitol Hill deserves a visit at night with plenty of bars and clubs.

Oh, and there's so many great coffee places other than Starbucks. And beer. And a lot of sushi places, I like Musashi 'cause it's affordable and delicious. Get the Shirashi bowl. Of course, Shiro's Sushi doesn't need much introduction. China Town has some awesome dim sum places, Sichuanese Cousine is one that also has a full menu after dim sum hours. There's way too many good Asian restaurants.

When your rent is up, Kirkland would be a good alternative (might be more expensive). Suburban with access to more restaurants than Bothell. By that point I'm sure you'll get the lay of the land a bit better. Good luck duder. I guess Canada is really close, if you're into Canada.

PS: DON'T get an umbrella, tough it out with a raincoat and blend in more with the locals. (jk, but not really)

@sanj: I'll mention a few channels I subscribe:

Begiragons: They're a Japanese channel focused on games, sort of like challenges. Pretty fun stuff that is subbed thoroughly. Currently they're doing a "No Sleep Challenge," where the challenger tries to remain awake for 100 hours; each hour nets her 1000 Yen.

Dunkey: Ridiculously funny video game related content. He pokes fun at Let's Plays, Youtube, and culture in general.

Top notch suggestions popping off right here, a lot of buckwild stuff. I'm borderline super saiyan with the new sights.

Now that I think about it, I tend to dwell around Reddit's various subforums and youtube. Weird how those two have become my go-to places. So, thanks for sharing! It was becoming stale, real stale.

I noticed I've had the same websites on rotation for about 2-3 years. It's time to update my bookmarks (do people even use bookmarks anymore?)

What's the new hotness?

  • Lifehacker was the shit. What is a similar one for tech tips and news?
  • General news?
  • Music?
  • Movies? Ain't It Cool was my jam.
  • Video games reviews, or critique? I go to Rock Paper Shotgun, GB, but there must be others around.

Or whatever other category you can think of. What is a website a discerning internet person should not miss? Share!

@hassun: Yeah, thus the quotes. But I prefer their act to other pop groups'.

And if anyone thinks I would seriously leave my ladyfriend for a singer I like they need to check themselves before they wreck themselves.
