I have tried and failed to play Kingdom Hearts again, so I'm really glad that they're doing this. A true service to the rest of the world.

I never beat the first boss when I was a kid, yet was able to beat KHII. So I had no idea what was going on half the time in KHII.

If by some miracle you guys actually end up playing through the entire game, it would be great if Ben got wrangled in for the last episode to give us all the rundown on what happened in Kingdom Hearts.

@homelessbird: Considering it's listed under playdates and not endurance runs, I wouldn't have said so. IIRC endurance runs were played every day by the runners until they either finished or tapped out.

I don't know where this series is going but I hope we get to see some of the later games before it ends.

I'm enjoying this series so much. The "joke" of Heartache where everyone on screen hates it and doesn't want to be there and has zero enthusiasm and negative energy SUCKED and was actively pushing me away.

Only downside is it... it... it is sort of making me consider getting the collection on PC. I only played the original KH1 once way back and did have a guide with me to make sure I got all the Hidden Mickeys. (I got so many other things already on my backlog!!!)

@vinny if you are still curious, "Gummi" means rubber in a lot of languages. Mostly the germanic ones I think. Which makes more sense for the gummi-ship than candy

This Is How I Fin

When I replayed this series with my kids I ran into this same problem. These games have some serious difficulty spikes unless you grind out levels, especially early on if you select the harder leveling/stat options. I eventually did some level grinding while the kids were sleeping so they wouldn't have to watch Dad die over and over again to a boss.

I love this series so much I watched it live and watched the recording. I'm so happy Vinny is finally getting to find out what the Kingdom Hearts series is after being intrigued for years. Keep it up Jan!
