The Mario cast reactions were perfection

I missed the Randy Savage silliness at the start and am glad I swung by to watch the pre show archive. Voidburger is a treasure and so glad to see her on more content!

Finally, someone on Giant Bomb who doesn't know about wrestling. Tired of all these staff and guests whose tastes don't align with mine. I feel represented.

As someone with no Actraiser nostalgia, that Actraiser remake visually looks awful.

So what I'm hearing is that he's perfect for Mario? Like seriously, I know Mario is really popular but he's pretty bland as a character. Luigi is way more interesting because of the range of emotions he always has in his games. That's just my opinion of course but yeah.

Wait. Why does everyone hate Chris Pratt now? I think the casting is awesome. I mean I could take or leave Chris Pratt as Mario, but Keegan Michael Key, Jack Black, Seth Rogan, Charlie Day -- could be pretty funny.

That was a fun Nintendo Direct. The Switch is iterating on its strengths and faults, which is to be expected. The NSO stuff is just... come on, Nintendo. Could ya pull back on the money grabbing once in a while?

Still, I'm excited for Kirby: Automata. Eager and anxious on what kind of sequel Splatoon 3 will be (still fearing the Mario-Kart-ification of Splatoon). Lastly, its nice to see a proof-of-life from Bayonetta 3. Though, hearing Hellena Taylor has been recast kinda sucks.

Agree with the cast about Chris Pratt being cast as Mario. That was such a cop-out choice. Just find a popular star to sell the movie and cast him. And yeah, Voidburger is a nice female choice for the main weekly cast. Nintendo Direct overall was okay, but I'm not liking the probability that they're going to raise the price for online, even with them adding more classic games to play.

Of yeah, and I'm happy Bayonetta 3 is still happening.

Good to see Kirby getting the respect he deserves.

Their recommendations for Mario casting are terrible. I don't much care for the Pratt casting choice either, but someone under 50 with some star power should be in the lead.

I find the argument that Nintendo is greedy or money grabbing for raising the price of NSO to be pretty ridiculous. For, what, $20 you get access to solid games in Tetris 99 and Pac-Man 99, a bunch of NES games and SNES games. Now, I'm not sure how things are outside of Japan but for 9,980yen(roughly $90) you get to redeem 2 tickets for 1st party Nintendo games, which I make ample use of. For context, Nintendo prices their games at 6,000-8,000 yen(roughly $54-$72) over here.

At the price they're giving now, I feel that any reasonable increase will be worth that and the addition of N64 and Mega Drive games.

Edit: I forgot to mention online play.

Pratt seems like a great choice for Mario. Both are basically cardboard cut-outs and love jesus.

I've only seen VB in like 3 videos on here but I love them.

Also the casting for the Mario movie is all amazing except for Chris Pratt which is hilarious, I keep imagining him trying to do a fake Italian accent and pissing myself laughing.

Martinet's Mario would be distracting as a lead unless Mario was a mostly silent character like in the games. It makes sense to re-cast him.

They should have got Marc Graue to reprise his Hotel Mario role

Mario nonsense aside, this was a great show. Honestly even that was probably worth it for the sheer entertainment value; I don't think much would actually make me care about a Mario movie so I probably got more joy out of seeing people react to these dumbass castings than I would have done if it was something more sensible.

Give me what I want and what I want is more VoidBurger.

Also a playthrough of Undertale with Jan and VB would be dimes.
