    The TurboPad is the controller included with the TurboGrafx-16 console. The layout is typical for the era, with an 8-way rocker pad, and two gameplay buttons. Unlike other contemporary consoles' gamepads, the TurboPad includes a turbo feature, with multiple levels of rapid-fire. The TurboGrafx-16 is the only major video game console ever released with a turbo feature on the included gamepads. Labeling of the controller is very similar to that of the NES, but with a "run" button instead of "start" and gameplay buttons labeled II and I; the same order as B and A on the NES gamepad.

    The TurboGrafx-16 comes equipped with only one controller port, requiring a TurboTap for multiple controller input.
