Oh shit, Banjo-Kazooie? At last, the prodigal son appears in a GB Video. I hope they don't shit all over it! Is it the N64 or the XBLA? The XBLA version is way better in most ways so I hope it's that one but wouldn't surprise me if they went for original- they always seem to.

Ah Banjo-Kazooie! One of my favorite games of all time. I've never understood why collect-a-thon has to have a negative connotation to it. Yes BK is a collect-a-thon but all of the mechanics and level design is crafted around exploring and uncovering secrets so collecting the items is incredibly fun. I'm so excited for Yooka-Laylee it's not even funny.

And while SM64 is a great game I'll defend til death that BK is better.

Hey Dan! You should find the demo for Pirates of New Horizons. It's a really fun 3-D platformer that never got finished. Please give the demo a run through I think it's one of those hidden gems that no one knows about.

I never understood the slavish admiration some people had towards the platforming Banjo games as they always felt like boring collect-a-thons to me. Same reason I hate Donkey Kong 64.

Ooh, man, the Carmageddon hate hurts my soul just a little bit. Yeah, it's dumb and "90s edgy", but your car could split in half! In a DOS game! The physics were incredible! The sequel had dismemberment! The third one existed! Ya hurt me, Jeff. Ya hurt me.

Also, "Off we fuck" is pretty amazing. I cannot believe I've never heard that permutation before, but now I just want to use it incessantly until somebody physically intervenes.

Props to Brad for always paying doom tribute. No Rest For The Living is my favorite doom wad I've played (and I've played many!). Great gameplay in the level design. (And hard enough for a breaking brad ;)

Holy shit that "Daffy Duck: Going Quackers" game is a straight rip off of Crash Bandicoot, shit it even sounds like some of the sound effects were straight ripped out of crash.

I'm going to make the radical prediction that they probably dump on Banjo-Kazooie while playing it.

Why does @jeff hate Mario Sunshine so much? Can someone point me to an explanation? I really enjoyed it, FlUDD was dumb but whatever. I'll concede its one of the weaker games in the series but it still is as solid a platformer as it gets.
