3D Pixel Racing is an arcade-style racing game developed by Vidia and published by Microforum games, and was released on July 14th, 2011 in the US and September 8th, 2011 in Europe. It was released as a downloadable game both on WiiWare for the Wii and the App Store for iOS devices.

The gameplay of 3D Pixel Racer includes picking a driver, car, and gameplay mode. The player can choose to compete in a series of events, which results in being able to unlock new cars, tracks, and drivers.

The Wii version controls similar to Mario Kart Wii, with the Wii Remot being held sideways and used to simulate a steering wheel. The iOS version uses the iPhone's built in accelorometer to simular a steering wheel, with two buttons located on the touch-screen to control the gas and brake of the cars.

The graphics are made up of multi-colored voxels that meant to look like the 8-bit games from the 1970s and 80s. The game also supports up to four players.

    Gameplay Modes.

    -Single Race

In a "Single Race", players choose from one of the drivers, tracks, and vehicles that are available to them and compete against seven computer-controlled drivers, or other players in a three-lap circut race. 'Single Race' is the only mode in the game that does not count towards unlocking items or completing the game.

    -Championship

In the "Championship Mode", players choose one of the vehicles available to them and compete against seven other drivers in a cup made of eight races. At the end of every race, each driver is awarded a set number of points based on their position when finishing. The driver with the most amount of points at the end of a cup is the winner. Winning cups in the "Championship Mode" is the easiest way of unlocking new items, and is mandatory for completing the game.

    -Time Trial

In "Time Trial", players race against the clock around a series of tracks. If the time on the clock expires before the number of laps has been completed, the player loses the event. In multiplayer, all of the players race on the same track, but are clocked and scored seperately

    -Capture the Flag

The "Capture The Flag" mode is similar to a circut race but with the addition of a checkered flag on the grounf just past the starting line. The flag is picked up by the first car to touch it and is carried by that car until it's hit by another vehicle. When the car is it, the person or AI who hit the car gets possesion of the flag. The race is won by the player who holds the flag at the end of the race.

    -Hot Pursuit

In "Hot Pursuit", players are pursued by a police car during a race while they are being timed. The event is lost if the player is caught by the police car, or fails to outrun the police ca before the clock runs out. In multiplayer, one player drives the police car while the other players must outrun them.
