A gorgeous 2D Background isnt enough

I must say, the 2D background of the game are amazing, so is the music. But the 3D character animations are terrible to behold and made me cringe all the time. The story of this game is ludicrously unispired and fails to resemble old school adventures, whose story was the core aspect. The game tries so hard to be witty and funny and give you that Guybrush chuckle that is becomes utterly annoying after a few minutes and you wish you could skip the dialogue (you can't), and you will find yourself impatiently clicking and hitting the ESC key to stop the stupid blabber of the protagonist and the sidekick. The game's controls are very unintutitve. I have been gaming for almost 20 years now, and it took me ages to get into it, hitting the left instead of the right mouse button, the icons are hard to decipher, and there is an awful lot of pixel-hunting in the game. Furthermore, the game is quite brutal and graphic in its prescriptions and handling of medieval torture and that is one thing I cannot laugh about. I did not like it and was utterly disappointed by it. Feel free to stay away from it and play true old school games instead.
