Hey, I just beat this two nights ago, easiest way is to take out the ESM ships first. (You can probably down one before the Strigon's even launch) and then use your Allied Attack to down the Strigons so that you are free to blast the other flying fortresses without much harassment.
My main problem with this mission was not running into the various tail fins of the ships when machine gunning the engines down... I don't know how many times I'd straife to one side right into the tail section. Doh.
