Things that go bump in the night.
I eagerly seek out anything based on H.P. Lovecraft's books. Amnesia has found a great balance between keeping the hair on he back of you standing on end and throwing fairly easy yet stimulating puzzles at you. You piece together the story by exploring the environment and finding notes, memory charged objects and through reading texts on load pages.
The atmosphere is top-notch, controls easy and responsive and the voice acting mostly good.
I feel that the game was building up to a climax that didn't materialise, though the rest of the game was a riveting experience.
Definitely recommended for lovers of atmosphere and games that try to invest in story and character development, not merely leveling-up.
