Alexa Kovacs

Pre-Kane's Wrath:

Alexa Kovacs was born to a traveling Nod scientist, who at the time of her birth was working in the Central Africa Red Zone. In her pre-teens her parents were killed by the rogue AI CABAL. She survived, but was left in the ruins of her former home. A year later she was discovered by Nod scavengers. She was mute and near-starving. Alexa stayed with her rescuers as a rookie zone runner. The woman showed extreme faith in Kane and his religion and message as well as having extraordinary understandings of cybernetics and AI's meant many took noticed and lead to her enrolling in the Nod Academy. Quickly she rose through the ranks to Abbess and was chosen to partake in the development and upgrading of LEGION (the player), an AI created from parts of CABAL. 
 

During Kane's Wrath:

In 2046 Alexa Kovacs reactivated LEGION and gave him the information about growth of Tiberium and continued to lesion information to Legion . She also showed a slight impatiens towards the slow progress of Nod. 
 
Alexa and Kane send LEGION to destroy the Ion Cannon network control center as well as gather information on the defense matrix . This was a crucial step as this ensured the destruction of Philadelphia, a space station that at the time of its destruction held most of the leaders of GDI.
 
However Kane demeaned a single individual remain on Earth, Redmond Boyle the GDI's treasurer. He sent LEGION to steal his gold. Alexa showed slight disapproval but was quickly convinced otherwise by Kane. It was then that she confronted LEGION telling it she knew it was watching her, always watching her.
 
After the successful attack on Philadelphia Kane withdraw Nod's forces from the Eastern Seaboard, causing Alexa to think he was retreating. It was this step that made Alexa extremely nervous so she told LEGION to search restricted archives for Computer Assisted Biological Augmented Lifeform aka CABAL.
 
When Kane had left for Temple Prime, Alexa was informed of a situation in Africa via a video that showed the MARV attacking Nod troops. Alexa sent LEGION to deal with it but showed grave concerns and doubts about LEGION. Right then an image of CABAL appeared inside LEGION and echoed the woman's name. 
 
Later, a Nod transmission was intercepted that showed General Kilian Qatar talking with Kane to a commander (the player from Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars) as well as her showing disapproval of Kane's aggressive plans. Alexa saw this a heresy, showing anger towards Qatar seeing herself as an equal to Kane. This was even more evident as she would have willingly put a bullet in her. She told LEGION that Kane had a more subtle plan: have LEGION take the appearance of Qatar's troops and attack Sarajevo. She leaned closer to LEGION at which time CABAL appeared again exactly on Alexa's face. She showed a reaction towards this - a slight shock and shivers.
 
When Temple Prime was destroyed, Alexa was mourning the loss of Kane but was enraged when Qatar took over the Brotherhood of Nod. Kane was however alive and sent Alexa and LEGION a message telling them of the arrival of the Scrin and his future plan to deal with Kilian.
 
When Kane to Alexa to send LEGION after the Tacitus, she showed distrust, calling LEGION "not human; more the CABAL ever was; with the Tacitus will be something obscene" but she trusted Kane and followed his orders. She didn't hesitate to tell LEGION that CABAL's cyberarmy killed innocent people including her parents. She also stated she would pray that she is wrong.
 
Alexa would not wait to see if she was wrong so she infected LEGION with a virus before it could connect with the Tacitus, saying she would not let it usher in the age of machine and that she would not be it's salve. Kane arrived too late to stop her. He demanded to know why she did it. She said LEGION was turning against Kane and taking control. She also told him that it was her who told LEGION to disguise its army as Qatar's and attack Temple Prime. Kane enraged told his troops to question Alexa and not to be gentile. But before she could be taken away she took the gun of one of the guards and aimed it at Kane. She then uttered the Nod motto "Peace through power", turned to LEGION placed the gun underneath her chin and shot herself just as LEGION went offline.
 

Personality:

Alexa was extremely loyal to Kane bordering on fanatic. She was cold and calculative in almost every situation and only showed warmth near Kane. She was despite this deeply infected by her parents' deaths and showed sadness whenever she thinking about it. She distrusted most individuals around Kane, like Qatar and LEGION, and dealt with them accordingly (framed and executed and infected with a virus respectively).
