    Smith's run (Spoilers Below)

    Appearances

    • Day 2 ("Morning")

Smith's successful merchant brother, Theroux, has just announced his availability for marriage. Sweet Moreef suggests that Smith work together with a romantic swindler that will write him back into the will in exchange for the Banquod name and fortune. The player will be able to choose between working with Andwanette or Denikus. Whomever is chosen will leave the other ineligible for the rest of the run.

    • Day 2 (Daytime)

Andwanette agrees to the plan, but the verbal nature of their agreement doesn't guarantee trust. Smith is asked to covertly carry out social intrigue that ranges from morally questionable to pretty illegal. Below are the potential quests; one is randomly chosen per run. It is impossible to fail the missions.

      • Publicly expose and tarnish her rival's double dipping business practice between the Cult of Hesh and the Spark Barons.
      • Get social revenge for a scandal inflicted on Andwanette. Publicly ruin the reputations of those responsible: a socialite, a high ranking Hesh Cult member and a mid-level Admiralty officer.
      • Andwanette's 'friend' died from food poisoning at her dinner party. The caterer was fired but now she is receiving a blackmail letter threatening to expose 'her' murder plot. To complicate things, she is also under investigation for an illegal exotic cheese trade. Figure out the mystery and clear her name.

    • Day 2 (Evening)

While Smith was on the quest, Andwanette filed her formal proposal for Theroux's hand in marriage and immediately received an approval. Smith questions his importance in her plan, since he seemed irrelevant to his brother accepting the proposal. She reassures him that she's better off keeping him as an ally, especially after his performance on the quest. With that, she prepares for the ceremony.

    • Day 2 (Night)

After Smith completes the mission quest for Tei Utaro, he escorts Andwanette to the ceremony. Along the way, a bitter rival stops them and threatens to collect a bounty placed on Andwanette from a debt broker.

    > If the player leaves Andwanette to her fate, they gain her hate bonus and will confront Theroux alone.

    > If the player defends Andwanette through negotiation or battle (and she does not die), she thanks Smith and they continue to the ceremony. Andwanette will assist in this battle should the player choose that option.

At the ceremony, Andwanette will officially marry Theroux. Smith will appear and battle Theroux's bodyguards while Theroux protects her from the scorned brother. (Note: Successfully escorting Andwanette to the ceremony prevents Theroux from joining the battle, making this battle easier than confronting him alone). After the guards are defeated, the player is presented a simple kill or not-kill choice.

    > If the player kills Theroux, the player will gain Andwanette's love bonus. Now she has the Banquod name and fortune to freely elevate her status in whichever direction she pleases.

    > If the player spares Theroux, Smith and his brother reconcile their differences. Andwanette will dislike the player; now she's stuck in a 4-year marriage playing the pretend version of a loving wife.

    Day 4 (night)

If the player killed Theroux, Andwanette will be available at The Hideaway bar to assist Smith in the final mission.

    • Epilogue

    > If Theroux was spared after marrying Andwanette, it's revealed that the marriage did not last.

    > If Theroux was killed after marrying Andwanette, the narrator states that though she throws amazing parties, her fast-paced lifestyle keeps Smith's life "interesting."
